Fall Inspirations

Styles, Sounds and She-roes that Have Me Like Woah

This time of year is the absolute best. Fall is in full swing and the holiday season will be here before we know it. There is something completely magical about this time of year, and I find myself inspired like never before. So before I dive into the cooking and decorating and shopping — pretty much my three favorite things, here’s a look at everything that’s inspiring me right now.

Charlie Puth’s new sound

I loved Charlie Puth’s first album, but I am OBSESSED with the first two singles from his latest. I’m pretty sure I’ve listened to “How Long” so many times my Spotify account is judging me. Same with “Attention” — I can’t help but dance when it comes on, which led to this amazing choreo I worked out with Markus Shields at Edge. Check it out!

Matching Sets

I’m calling it now; matching sets are going to be the romper of 2018. (At least if I have anything to say about it!) They require no effort to style, yet somehow they look runway-worthy and instantly put together. Definitely rocking this look through the rest of winter.

Traveling

I was home for maybe about five minutes in October, but the whirlwind was totally worth it. Last month I squeezed in trips to Vancouver, Chicago and Ojai, California (my suitcase had a bizarre mix of tank tops and parkas). Reuniting with friends and family and exploring unfamiliar places always makes me feel rejuvenated, even if the hectic travel schedule wipes me out sometimes. Does anyone else start planning their next trip while they’re on the flight home from their last one? Just me?

Inspiring Women

I’m extremely passionate about a project I’ve been working on that I can’t wait to share with you: a documentary about domestic violence that I am producing and directing. The stories I’ve heard from the women we’ve spoken to have been so moving, heart-wrenching and important. I’m honored to help these women share their brave stories, and they’ve been on my mind and in my heart a lot this month.

Has anything been inspiring you lately? I’d love to know! I’m always looking for my next new fave.

xoxo
