The Trials of Jayson Hoover

In April 2018, I went to Vancouver to shoot The Trials of Jayson Hoover, which is a documentary about a Vancouver record shop owner who wants to shed light on the story of a local soul, funk legend. Jayson Hoover was a soul artist around the time of the Motown era, except he was trying to make it in Vancouver, B.C. We explore the story of Jayson and the obstacles and triumphs he faced as well as the trials of David, the local store owner and why he is so determined to tell this story.
