Sydney Scotia is a American-Canadian actress, director, and producer with a varied career in film, television, and stage. Raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, she began as a competitive dancer, performing alongside Olympic legend Olga Korbut in Hong Kong. Sydney first gained widespread recognition for her role as Geneva Hayes in the Netflix series Some Assembly Required, which helped launch her into the spotlight.
She has since taken on a range of notable roles in television, including Pillow Talk (Crave), Reboot: The Guardian Code(Netflix), and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. On stage, she delivered a lead performance in the Montreal production of Prom Queen: The Musical. Sydney is also an accomplished filmmaker. Her documentary This Hits Home, which examines traumatic brain injuries in domestic abuse survivors, received attention for its thoughtful handling of an important issue.
